Right Here Where We Need to Be

We started this week out with zone training. Which was so good. sister Hancock and I focused our part of zone training on, "having an attitude of progression not survival" which is so important in life and missionary work. Sure you can just go through go through the motions of life and just do things because you have to, and yes you will accomplish somethings... But where is the progression in that. You can accomplish so much more when you set goals and push yourself. Sometimes we see how far we have already come and we say, "ok I've already come this far so I can't go any further." We can go so much further. Aim high, pray for help, and work for success.

After zone training we picked up Sister Storrer from the hospital and ran a few errands with her and then went finding. We have been finding it a little hard to find potential investigators here in Salzburg because everyone we run into are tourists.

That's been a lot of our week actually... Picking up and dropping of the Storrers haha. He was finally able to get out of the hospital this week and come home. But it has been a nightmare for them to figure out the payment and insurance. So we have been taking extra trips to the hospital with him to figure that out and one day he spent 3 hours in there and they could t resolve the issue. So today we took him again and he suggested that we all say a prayer before he goes in to ask for help. We prayed together, he went inside and came back out 10 minutes later with a big grin on his face. Everything worked out great and the bill was payed! Prayer.....

We also visited a member with the Storrers. The husband does acupuncture for work so he did that to Elder Storrer to help him heal faster. And while he did that Sister Hancock and I got to talk to Sister Maltzl and get to know her! She taught us how to make apple strudel! She also gave us a refferal and we didn' t even ask her for one! She is the best member missionary ever!

Friday was good. I needed Friday because I learned a valuable lesson ( or relearned the same valuable lesson that I always forget about) I started the day out feeling kinda frustrated and stressed and just like inadequate for some reason. And the longer the day went on the worse it got. We were supposed to have an appointment but it didn' t work out because of communication issues and trying to find the right address. So we decided to go finding before out next appointment. We walked to a less actives house who wasn't home and then tried finding in that area. I got even more frustrated because I was feeling absolutely no guidance of where we needed to be right then. We stopped everyone we saw and doored a lot of houses and we didn't even get so much as a good talk with someone... Just no after no after no. I was so upset that I wasnt feeling the spirit guide me to a certain apartment or street. I just wanted one of those miracle days where you say a prayer and find someone amazing! But it wasn' t happening. As we came out of the last apartment building we doored and stood there for a second, a woman got out of her car and came and asked us for directions to Hauptbahnhof. They were so lost and really needed to find it. She had her whole family in the car, and we were able to help them get to where they needed to be. Then we walked back to Hauptbahnhof to where our appointment was going to be. We stood there and waited, and the man didn't show up.... Just then a woman who looked like a backpacker walks out of the train station and sees us and says, "sisters!?" And darts over too us! She is a member from Hawaii on vacation here and she needed help finding which bus to take to her hotel! We got to help her and as we were standing there she asked sister Hancock if her sister was named Jessica. Sister Hancocks eyes filled with tears! Turns out that girl is best friends with her older sister! That was a cool moment. That day just showed me that we don't always need a strong feeling or impression. Like elder bednar says, "Just go about being a good girl or boy, doing what you should be doing and you will be where you need to be." We were where we needed to be that day.

Sunday was lovely as always. There are always a lot of tourists who visit this ward while they are on vacation. One guy who was visiting was a missionary here 40 years ago and he found out yesterday that one of the men that he baptized so long ago was still totally active and his wife had also joined the church 3 years after he had left! He told us that we will never truly know how far our influence will go. I loved that. Oh! Also you'll never guess who is in my ward here! Sister Knoll my MTC teacher! It was so fun to see her again, and to be able to speak to her in German!! I just remember her trying to help me in the MTC and she would say something to me in German and I would just stare at her and blink.... but I could actually talk to her! It was a cool moment! Today we explored a castle and it poured rain. Love you all,

Sister Price Have a great week

Never let a good rain storm go to waste
