Easter Service Project

First off.. This is where I'm emailing from right now...

We are eating lunch at the Donauturm today.. I can't believe I'm here , the view is incredible. #blessed Any ways this week was crazy. Me and sister jest decided that our investigators and members could really benefit from an Easter fireside. We talked to the other missionaries and decided to have it for all five wards in Vienna. So we have been very busy organizing that this week! We had austausch this week so I got to work with sister Thunnel. She is so much fun and we had a blast. It was my first time navigating this place by myself and it was chaos. We took the wrong train multiple times... But whatevs... We just ended up sprinting to our appointments. We met with an American family and ate Mexican food. Mmm I miss that stuff. It is not really a thing here. Then we went finding, I wasn't sure where a good finding place was so I just picked a u-Bahn stop and we got off and walked and stopped people, we had a couple really good conversations with people. I LOVE FINDING AT EASTER TIME! It's great, unlike Christmas, people actually don't know why we have Easter and they are very curious for an answer when we ask them if they know why we celebrate it. We talked to one guy for about a half an hour on the street about Christ and he said, " I don't understand why Jesus had to die and why it should be celebrated." We got to bear testimony of the atonement and we also shared Alma 7:11-12 with him and he loved it! It was a really cool experience to help someone on the street realize why he needed Christ.

We kept walking down that same road and realized that we had walked a long ways away from the Bahnhof and it was already 8pm so we started to walk back and planned to keep talking to people on the way. We saw one of our investigators on the street and he seemed really shocked to see us and said, " what are you doing over here?" We were like, " we're talking to people!" And he was like, " this is probably not the best idea, let me escort your back to the Bahnhof. " We were so confused and told him that he didn't need to and then As he walked away we both looked st each other and said, " if he says we shouldn't be here then we should definitely not be here." So we started walking back as fast as possible and we got followed by two middle aged men who kept asking us if we wanted drinks.. We were praying the whole way home. But we made it home safe and sound :)

Wednesday we went down to Graz to tausch back and we had lunch and did a bunch of finding down there. I love this new Easter Initiative that the church put out! It's so fun sharing the videos and the pass along cards with people. We had a few really good talks with people. Sadly most of our investigators seem to have dropped off the face of the earth right now... Or else they are too busy to meet with us at the moment. Cam's wife had the baby! Or in the words of Cam, " the baby has landed." haha so it will be a while before we can get over there again. We helped with a service project this week that the stake organized. We fed about 200 refugees from the Middle East, it was so cool to talk to these people. They have had hard lives and a rough few months. They all live in very cluttered Refugee camps right now where they all share kitchens and bathrooms. We fed them a big meal and had games and crafts for them to do and at the end they let them play music from their country and dance! They loved it. I can't imagine how big of a relief it was for them to just enjoy a day and forget about their situation. Dance it out, is what I always say ;) To be honest, I was nervous to tell the refugees that I spoke with that I was from America because every once in a while we run into some who hate Americans. But as soon as I told them, they got really excited and grabbed my hands and said, "we love you!" They are amazing people.

This little one drug me around by my scarf the whole day

It was amazing to see the stake come together to prepare for this, so many people baked huge pots of all kinds of soups and curries and then to see the joy that it caused for these people. I'm so grateful for Christ and his example that he set for us, to serve others and to love everyone. I'm grateful for his atonement and for his invitation to follow him! Share the Easter campaign video and pray for an opportunity to bear testimony of Christ to someone in this Easter season Love you, Sister Price
