Hi,
I'm emailing on a Tuesday because we had interviews yesterday, but next week it will be on Monday again.
First of all Happy Halloween!! I'll be honest, I totally forgot about it. Nobody celebrates it here which is sad. It's one of my favorite holidays, and Happy Birthday mom!!! wooooooooooo! Ok, this letter is going to be weird because I was in Tübingen for half of the week and Augsburg for the rest, so I'm just going to spilt this guy up.
Tübingen- I hate transfer week.. its so stressful! You have like five bajillion appointments and everyone wants to feed you. (why can't it just be spread out through out the whole transfer?) We ate so much food I havent been hungry for like 3 days.. I'm not even kidding, and you have to pack you whole life into two suitcases.
It was really hard to say goodbye to everybody! We got to meet with John Wayne again before I left which was cool because he was talking about how he thinks he has been too closed off to the idea of praying and that he thinks he's been too influenced by his colleagues so he's going to be more open to it, which is HUGE for him!
We did a combined appointment for Patience and Viviana which was soooo cool!! First of all, Patience showed me how to tie a scarf around my hair like the African women do. Nailed it. Second, Patience's testimony is sooo good!!!! She has had a hard life but it's so cool to see her testimony grow after each challenge that she has. I found out something very cool that day also. SO remember like my 2nd week in Germany when I gave out my first Book of Mormon on my own? Well, guess who I gave it to? VIVIANA!!! She was talking about where she got her Book of Mormon from because she got one like three months before we started teaching her and she said, "ya a missionary gave it too me at the bus stop one time." She had only been here for a couple of weeks, and then we all freaked out because it turns out I was the one who gave it to her!! I never would have thought in that moment that giving out that one Book of Mormon would lead to Viviana getting baptized, but that just builds my testimony that the Lord prepares his people little by little. Sometimes as a missionary it's hard to stay motivated because you don't always see the fruit of your labors, but every Book Of Mormon or every passalong card that you give out is just preparing that person that much more! It was a cool experience.
Thursday we got on the train to go to Bahnhof. It was so hard to say goodbye to Sister Wilkes and Tubingen!

Saying goodbye to the Stuttgart sisters
Augsburg! Augsburg is like a mini Munich. It's much bigger than Tubingen so finding is a little easier.

My new companion is Sister Lang. Shes from Ogden and she's so cute! She is just out of her golden transfers and her German is better than mine.... so theres that...

Sister Lang
This area is a little bit dead right now, but we do have two investigators who are working towards baptism right now. They shut down the elders here, (thats how dead it is) so we have been getting lots of appointments by calling the people in their phone which also means that we have two phones and two appartments right now so thats nice. The elders apartment is right in the middle of town so if we need lunch we just swing by their place and eat what we stashed there. Hopefully we get some solid people going here. Hey, I got let into someones house during dooring for the first time in my whole mission here, so that was a bright side, and lots of people ask me what church I am from on the trains here and that doesnt happen very often! It's been a hard adjustment because we had a lot going on in Tubingen. There's a pretty big ward here luckily but we haven't met a lot of people yet because we had Stake Conference this last week. I'm excited to start working with the members here. We have a lot of work ahead of us but I just have to keep reminding myself that God wouldn't have called me here if he didn't think i could do it. Pray for me and my companion that we can get this area moving. Love you all! P.S. I hit 7 months on Saturday... what?
Liebe,
Sister Price
