Conference Weekend

Tubingen in the fall

Hi,

How was conference?! I loved it! Well I haven't seen Sunday Afternoon session yet because of the time difference but I'm excited to watch it because I loved the other sessions!

Our week started out with a trip to Munich for zone conference! We had to take a train at 6:30 a.m. to get to Stuttgart in time to catch the train to Munich with the rest of our zone. I didn't mind though because we got to watch the sunrise from the train and it was soo pretty!

We were in Munich in October. Munich+October= OCTOBERFEST!! Laderhosen and Dirndls EVERYWHERE...It was so awesome! (also drunk people everywhere hehe)

We met with D this week, (the guy that we saw in the park twice) we walked into the park to find a place to sit and we said, "where should we sit?" He looks around at the empty benches behind us and then points to a castle on the hill and says, "there's benches up there,".... so we walked up there. We taught the Restoration by a castle in Germany. WHAT. IS. LIFE. It was really cool. I hope we can get another appointment with him.

Viv is doing great! She loves learning about the Gospel and reading in The Book of Mormon. She came to both days of conference and she loved it! She said she felt the spirit so strong. She said, "I want to take a picture to remember it." hahha oh I love people!

We are teaching a man from China right now and he is so cool. I love teaching him because he is so humble. He has to learn from the very basics. and I love teaching him because it makes me simplify the Gospel down to the very very basics. I loved Uctdorf's talk from the Saturday morning session about how simple the gospel really is. It's simple to live the gospel. We make it way more complicated than it needs to be. Focus on the simple truths!

We met some really cool people while finding this week which was awesome because it was pretty rough for a while there. We met the COOLEST woman the other day when we were going by to visit a less active. We got to the house, but I saw her in the distance and I felt that we needed to keep going, so we did and stopped her and set up an appointment right there! I'm so excited to meet with her!

Conference was so cool! I hope you all learned a lot and heard what you needed to hear. I think the challenge after conference every six months is taking what you learned or what stood out to you and then APPLYING it in your life. Don't just take notes and then go on with life. Take this council from the prophet and apostles and use it in your life to make you a better person.
