1st Baptism! Hooray!

1st Book of Mormon that I handed out all by myself!

1st exchange

1st ticket in Europe.......... yep that happened...

Maurice is from Nigeria! He was baptized yersterday! It was awesome, except I don't really count him as MY first baptism because I didn't really get to teach him. But it's still cool!

I contacted a lady at a bus stop and gave her a Book of Mormon without Sister Ahlms help. woot woot! (it was in English... but still)

We went on exchanges this week! We call them Taush here. Sister Ahlm and I took a train to Stuttgart to stay with Sister Bishop and Sister Bushman. I got to work with Sister Bushman which was a blast! It's cool to see different missionaries and how they approach different things like street contacting and companionship study. I'll be honest, the week started out pretty rough. I was having a super hard time, but taushing with Sister Bushman completely turned that around and helped me a ton! She gave me TONS of great advice that she wished she would have known as a Golden. (thats what they call the new missionaries) My favorite thing that she said was "It's OK to not be OK" which was just what I needed to hear. She helped me to see that having a hard time was OK, and normal. It helped me to realize that just because I'm having a hard time doesn't mean that I am a bad missionary. This helped me so much.

Sister Bushman and I in Stuggart

When we were in Stuttgart there was this HUGE Evangelical church event. Everyone gathers in the main square and the leader of their church comes and speaks and its like a giant party for Jesus. So, naturally we went there to talk to people and it was awesome! People were walking up to us and asking us about our faith. It was super cool. My favorite people to contact now are street performers. They are awesome and usually by the end of our conversation they are serenading us. It rocks.

On Friday myself and Sister Ahlm had the funniest experience ever... there is a member in our ward who has a friend he wants us to teach, but the members of this ward can't quite grasp the concept of mission rules.. Especially that we can't ride in the car with a man. So this member said he would pick us up from the bus station, and Sister Ahlm told him on the phone that he HAD to have his wife or another woman in the car and he just kind of mumbled and hung up.. We rode 30 minutes on a train and then 40 on a bus and we waited at the bus station. Up rolls this Brother in his car.... alone.... so Sister Ahlm tells him we can't ride with him. He started asking random woman on the street to ride in his car with us so that we can go to this appointment!! This little old man was determined, but he found a lady who would drive us in her car so we rode with a complete stanger. it was so funny! She then drops us off and we just stood on the side of the road waiting until the brother drove up.. it was the craziest day! The appoinment was awesome though. We had like an hour and half train ride home. So there's our adventure this week.

Sister Ahlm and I lost Islehausen

On Sunday we had a dinner appointment and we got a ticket because our monthly train tickets didn't cover the area that we were in apparently. So that was awesome.

We get Ipads on Thursday!

The language is coming along. I totally agree that the best way to learn a language is to just be immersed in it! (and also the gift of toungues of course) My prayers are feeling pretty fluent now and i can actually prayer from the heart rather than from the 10 phrases that I learned in the MTC.

Hows the fam doing?? Tell Kelsey congragulations and that i wish i could be there!

alright... I think thats a summary of my week! Love you guys are miss you!

Can you send me Alyson's address so I can send a postcard to Grandma? Thanks!

Love you!
