Hello everyone! This week was good! I cant believe that in 3 days I will have been out for one month! WHAT THE!? It feels like its been 1 week! I have 2 more weeks left in the MTC and I am living it up while I can! I'm excited to be out in the field, but when I'm never going to get another chance to be surrounded by tons of missionaries 24/7! It's a blast! Sister Buttars who is my old companion says that the field is a lot harder than sitting in a classroom all day everyday, but I'm excited! I'm so excited to be able to fluently speak German! That will be so cool! haha Today is Asda, which is the store we shop at on p-days. The cashier was talking to me and my companion and we told her that we were here for 2 more weeks and then headed to Germany and she goes "oh I hate Germany.." I laughed and asked why and she said "the people are horrible and mean" I couldn't help but laugh, because 3 months ago before I got my call I was thinking the same thing!! I just laughed so hard!!
Today was a blast! We got to go on a church history tour in Preston England and it was incredible! We got to see the river where the first baptisms in England were performed from those first few missionaries that came here to preach. We walked for miles through the town. It's so lovely. There were cobble stone streets and lots of houses and buildings from the 1800's which was sooo cool to me! You know how I love old things!! I was in heaven, beacause there was old things and Britsh accents everywhere!

We went into this tiny little town called Downham which was sooo neat! It felt like being thrown back into a different century. There's a man whose family bought all the land in that town so that it can be preserved and so there are no modern buildings what so ever. There's a super old church of England that we got to go inside, which was seriously so neat! We also go to see where President Hinkley lived and preached while he was serving his mission here!! We saw the exact place where they would stand and preach!

Theres a plaque in a garden in a park in Preston, about the first LDS missionaries in Great Britan, and there's a picture of Majorie and President Hinkley standing next to it holding hands that is adorable.

I made sister Linekar act it out with me! When you see the pic notice that we are holding hands.. (this girl will punch anyone who touches her so I am in awe that I got her to hold my hand.)

Also, good news... we saw our first classic red telephone booth so of course being American we all had to take 20 minutes to get a picture in it.

My German is coming along! Yesterday we did practice teaching where we got to be an investigator (someone we knew from home who isn't a memeber) and we switched up companionships and taught them! It was one of my favorite teaching experiences yet! I got to teach with Elder Summers and he gave the best testimony ever! it was so cool! Then I got to pretend to be Soojin my old roommate! I love her!!! I can't even explain why it was such a cool experience but it just was!
My food allergies are back... BOOOO! It's probably for the best though because otherwise none of my clothes will fit when I leave the MTC! One day in class I got really sick from it and was in so much pain that I ran out of language instruction in tears and so President Preston gave me a blessing. We got to go to bed early that night so my companion loved that! haha

This week is gonna be a blast because there's no two weekers that will be here this week so it will be my district, the Greek district and the English learners so total there will be 16 of us instead of 40! It's going to be weird, and once a week everyone gets to go proselyting in the town except the Americans who won't be serving in England since we don't have visas for here so on those days thers is 9 of us here.
Ok, embarassing Miranda moment here, actually two of them.. so during our practice lessons our teachers pretend to be investagators and one of our teachers is from Germany so shes got an accent. ( ask Lauren Moon if she knows Sister Knoll from her mission, she's my MTC teacher) Anyways, so I was asking her how she felt when she read the Book of Mormon. I said " Was spüren sie, wenn sie lesen im Das Buch Mormon." and she said "Ich spüren normal." but she said it in her accent so it was like Normahl, which still isn't that different... but of course I go "Wass is Nor-mal? and she goes...... um normal.....! The Elders in our district will NOT let me live that one down!! Yesterday we were talking about signatures and I was showing them how all guys sign their name the same so I said "whos name should I use?" Elder Summers says, "mine." I write his first name which is Ben, and then I paused and was like.. wait, what's your last name? and they were like whaatttt!! hahaha it was soo funny! Madi, if you were here you would have been laughing at that for hours!!
Love you all!
Love, Sister Price
