Fulfilling Exhaustion

Holy, what a week,

It started out with Monday of course, some lovely members took us the the "Time Travel Museum" here which was really cool, we got to learn so much about the history of Vienna which was really cool, then we went to another cool museum which has ancient ruins from like 1000 years ago. This. city. is. ancient.

On Tuesday we were supposed to have a lesson which got cancelled in the morning so after district meeting we talked to the ehe paar about getting a new microwave (ours sparks up as if there is metal in it every time we use it lately so we unplugged that guy and decided for our safely sake that we shouldn't use it anymore) and the ehe paar told us to go and buy a new one right then, so we ran across Vienna with a giant microwave which was fun.

Wednesday we had a great lesson with Ken, and then we had to rush home to bake a cake that the elders needed us to make for their investigator's daughter's birthday party, We celebrated with them, we played, Don't Eat Pete and they LOVED that game! Oh, they had so much fun! We sang and ate cake and then the elders taught about finding truth. This whole appointment was in french so the three of us just bore testimony and Elder Corneta translated for us about taking the step of faith to ask God for spiritual truth.

The Friends cooked Iranian food for us ( I love that stuff) we had a great appointment with them.

On Friday we visited Schwester Novak, she is the most adorable thing ever. She is 94 years old and she just told us stories about her life for two hours (which was crazy because she was about 20 years old during world war 2) I still can't believe that I can hear stories like that from people who lived over here during that time, and in German sogar. It just reminded me of how important family history is. Not just finding names, but collecting these stories from our relatives that are still living! That is a very important part of family history. Preserve those stories!

Saturday... was...... well..we visited another older lady in our ward with the elders and we sang like 15 hymns with her and then we tucked her into bed and left. On our way to the Bahn stop this man just faints right as we walk by and falls into the road! We thought this man was dead. his face was purple and he was not breathing. The elders and a pedestrian carry this man out of the road before a car came and he had a big gash in his head, but luckily he started breathing and regained consciousness as the ambulance got there. He had had a big too much to drink. (I'm so grateful for the Word of Wisdom) Anyways, that was an experience. That evening we watched the Restoration with Abraham, HE LOVES THE PROPHET and he has been reading all about the prophet!

Sunday was nice, the weather was beautiful and church was lovely. Familie Schmid invited us over for lunch, they live outside of Vienna in the country side and it was sooo nice to be out of the city for a little bit and there was so much green! Then we rushed back to an appointment with Perry and Theresa. It was a great week but so crazy and we are exhausted. But it's a fulfilling exhausted and I like that.

Love you have a good week
